Simple rules for using MotionVector.

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating a MotionVector account or using authenticated MotionVector features, you agree to these Terms. MotionVector is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use MotionVector only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use authenticated MotionVector features.

2. Your videos and your rights

MotionVector does not claim ownership of videos you analyze. Normal video analysis runs locally in your browser, and your source video is not uploaded to MotionVector as part of that workflow.

You are responsible for making sure you have the legal right to possess, analyze, and use the videos you select, including any permissions required by privacy, recording, property, intellectual-property, or other applicable laws.

3. Optional contributions

Contribution is optional and off by default. You can use MotionVector's local motion analysis without contributing data. If you enable contribution for an analysis, MotionVector receives only the derived information described in the Privacy Policy.

By contributing, you represent that:

• you own the footage or otherwise have permission and legal authority to use it for this purpose;
• the footage was obtained and is being used lawfully;
• the contribution does not knowingly violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights;
• you have followed the Contribution Guidelines.

License for contributed data

You keep ownership of your source video and any rights you otherwise have. To the extent you have rights in the derived data you contribute, you give MotionVector a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, analyze, modify, combine, and create derivative works from that contributed data as needed to operate, secure, test, evaluate, research, develop, improve, and commercialize MotionVector and related motion-analysis technology.

MotionVector may allow service providers to exercise those rights only as needed to provide services on MotionVector's behalf. This license lasts while the contribution is retained. MotionVector does not sell personal information or use contributions for third-party targeted advertising. If MotionVector later proposes a materially different use that requires new consent, it will update the applicable notice and obtain consent where required.

4. Responsible use

Do not use MotionVector to:

• break the law or help another person break the law;
• identify, track, profile, or surveil people in a way that violates their rights or applicable law;
• submit footage or data you do not have the right to use;
• attack, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer for abuse, or bypass security or access controls;
• introduce malware or intentionally corrupted content;
• misrepresent MotionVector results as verified facts when they are estimates.

MotionVector may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, infrastructure, or legal rights, or to address serious or repeated violations of these Terms.

5. Analysis results are estimates

MotionVector estimates motion, trajectory, segmentation, stability, and related events from video. Results can be incomplete, uncertain, delayed, or wrong. MotionVector does not guarantee that contributed derived data is anonymous or prevents every possible inference from that data.

Do not rely on MotionVector for aircraft or vehicle control, navigation, emergency response, personal safety, law-enforcement decisions, or other safety-critical or high-stakes decisions.

6. Accounts and security

You are responsible for reasonable security of your account and for activity performed through it. Do not share credentials in a way that compromises the service. MotionVector may require authentication or reauthentication for sensitive account actions.

You can delete your account using the available account controls. As explained in the Privacy Policy, contribution data is intentionally not linked to accounts, so account deletion does not automatically identify or remove earlier contributions.

7. MotionVector software and feedback

MotionVector's software, interface, branding, and service are owned by MotionVector or their respective licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of MotionVector to you.

If you voluntarily send suggestions or feedback, MotionVector may use them without payment or obligation to you, provided that doing so does not override the Privacy Policy for personal information included in the feedback.

8. Early-product availability

MotionVector is an early product. Features, algorithms, limits, storage practices, and availability may change. MotionVector may fix, replace, remove, or discontinue features and does not promise uninterrupted availability. Material privacy or contribution changes will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy and these Terms.

9. No warranties

To the maximum extent allowed by law, MotionVector is provided “as is” and “as available.” MotionVector does not make warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, fit for a particular purpose, or able to prevent every security or privacy risk. Any warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain in effect.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, MotionVector and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, business interruption, or loss of data arising from the service.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, MotionVector's total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid MotionVector during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.

11. Changes to these Terms

MotionVector may update these Terms as the product changes. The version and effective date above identify the Terms currently in effect. Material changes that require renewed agreement will be presented before the affected use or processing occurs where required by law.

12. General terms

If a provision of these Terms cannot be enforced, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision once does not waive the right to enforce it later. Applicable mandatory consumer rights are not waived by these Terms.
